I just finished an African Lion for my shop...I haven't made one of these in a long time! So long that I didn't really have any decent digital pictures of this design, so here you go.

As ever, this is made from one piece of hand carved, hand shaped vegetable-tanned 8 ounce leather. Painted with Liquitex acrylics.

This is so beautiful. Do you think you'd ever include the upside-down teardrop marks that some lions have? I've always thought they were interesting.
