Black and White Persian Cat Maskby *merimask

This is a custom order from my Etsy shop; a Persian Cat in black and white with silver details. I call these "Persian" because the designs are inspired by an old Persian rug I own.

This is the first Persian Cat I've ever done in b & w. I have to say it is the most time-consuming color combination I do; it takes SO long to paint because not only does white need extra coats, but the lines have to be exactly perfect. Mistakes are hard to cover up.

Anyway, it makes a stunning mask.

The b&w ones always seem almost formal and glamourous to me. I added some clear Swarovski crystals to it, for added sparkle.

As ever, this is hand carved, hand shaped 8 oz veg-tanned tooling leather. Painted with Liquitex acrylics.
