This mask was commissioned on my Etsy site; a white, black, silver & pewter "Persian" leather mask. This is the companion mask to the other black& white-themed Persian mask in my previous entry.
It's called a Persian mask 'cause the pattern is based on my Persian rug. I usually do it in more traditional neutral tones like brown with gold & red (see elsewhere in my gallery for other examples) but this was a special request & I like the way it turned out. Like all my work, this is hand-carved, hand shaped 8 oz leather, painted with Liquitex acrylic paints. I do take custom requests all the time at my Etsy shop: [link] |

THe Persian masks were always at the top of my list for faves but I don't really like earth tone combinations that much so this makes me like it even more.
