Copper Sun And Moon Maskby *merimask

So I just finished another sun and moon mask. This was a special custom order. The client did not want any gold, so she requested a copper sun.

It actually looks kind of cool, I think! The sun half is extra pretty, so I'm showing the picture that was taken from that angle. If you want a better look at the moon half, check out my gallery. It's in there.

As ever, made from one piece of hand carved, hand shaped 8oz veg-tanned tooling leather. Painted with Liquitex acrylics.

It turned out great! I have to admit, I like the copper more then the gold one. It matches better with the silver I guess. The eyecorners are done great too! That's a great detail. And the 2 different types of copper are matching really good! I like it

This reminds me of the summer sunsets we see at the beach (the original is more like high noon, I think). Looks great!

The copper works quite well! It gives a warmer feel and doesn't have as stark of a clash with the silver. Good call by the customer!
