A quick & helpful guideline for photographers to help them choose models and how to find them.

Here is a mask I made a while back (not too long ago, but I'm so prolific it seems a lifetime ago).
It's a Medusa made all of one piece of leather. Handcarved & hand-formed with no molds. I painted this (with Liquitex acrylic paints) as realistically as I could, so that the snakes resembled tiny Southern Copperhead snakes. The eyes of the snakes are 4mm carnelian stone beads, each hand sewn to leather gussets that were then cemented inside each snake head. The whole mask took over 15 hours to make. As ever, you can purchase my work at my Etsy store: [link] |

Intricate details as always, was this harder to create and mould, with all those floppy snake bits?
