Just finished this custom black and gold kitsune for a customer. I love this design; so simple but so essentially Japanese, and yet my own art. It's basically my own version of a kyogen theater kitsune mask.

As ever, hand carved, hand shaped 8oz vegetable tanned tooling leather, painted with Liquitex acrylics.

Red-black-gold is only slightly less of a fantastic colour-combo than red-black-white, and I really love the way you're working the colours in this one. :) Coupled with the clean and elegant pattern, it works wonderfully.
