I just designed a stoat mask...a stoat is a little weasel. I decided it looked just like a ferret (as far as head shape and ear placement goes) so I made a ferret mask too. Ferrets are so darn cute. I used to have one that looked just like this, years ago. Silly little animals.

Like all my masks, this is made from one piece of top-grade 8 oz leather. All my masks are hand carved & shaped without molds or forms...every hair of this ferret is carefully cut into the leather by hand. Then, the mask is hardened with heat & painted with colorfast Liquitex acrylics.

Ferrets are cute, and you've really nailed the design on this one. :D I like how the colouring across the eyes make them look like those old classic thief-masks - sort of like Sly Cooper.

I only ever played part of one Sly Cooper game, but whenever I get a hankering for good old-fashioned platforming, I go dig out Crash Bandicoot or the original Spyro the Dragon-trilogy. They're brilliant, all of them. :D

Yeah. Too much Harry Potter fanfics a few years ago. I know, I KNOW ... but I can't help thinking of Draco when I see a ferret. They're so cute, and you definitely pulled this one off. Not very surprising in itself ... :p

Seeing this suddenly reminded me of Redwall, how important those books were to my middle school years, and then a little sadness at Brian Jacques recent passing.
If there was ever a Redwall-based con you would be able to get a lot of business there. All of your animal masks are just so gorgeous.
