Here's a very simple design...inspired by a recent trip to Japan; my Ginkgo Leaf Mask.

Like everything I make, this is hand-carved and hand-shaped from leather. I used a new technique of dry-brushing bright gold acrylic paint over a brown base, which gave the mask a lovely burnished gold look.

The simplicity of this mask is wonderful. I still can't believe it is made from leather.

Thank you. ^_^ Leather is a wonderful medium actually. Lightweight, durable, and not messy to sculpt. You can do a lot with it.

It so simple and yet so...! I have no words to describe it! Genuinely so! Neat and done in detail - what I generally like in art. Very Good job. Now If I was earning I'd have bough this one and the goldfish one immediately....
