This is funny.

So, I was carving another black kitsune mask the other night, re-stocking my poor, busy Etsy shop. I try to carve exactly the same pattern every time, so I won't have to take fresh pictures when I re-list a popular mask. It's just a whole lot easier that way.

But I screwed up! I combined the design of the black kit with the scrols of the white kit. Wrongo! Well damn.

What to do? I mean...it's a lovely mask anyway.

So I decided to make a super-special one of a kind gold kitsune, with burnished gold and bright gold and copper. Wouldn't you know it, I like it better than the black one!

Anyway it'll be in my shop [link] until it's not anymore. I have a feeling it'll go quick.

Hand carved/shaped 8oz leather and all sorts of pretty metallic Liquitex acrylic paints. Shiny...

I like how all the colors match up. It's very nice! I thought there was a giraffe mask in the gallery, but I can't seem to find it. Has it been moved?

It's very pretty, when I first saw it it reminded me of like a goddess, if that makes sense ^^, like I can imagine it being worn by a spiritual being ^^
