Here is another brand new version of my very popular wolf mask design; Golden Wolf.
Like all my masks, it is made entirely from one piece of 8oz leather; carved and shaped by hand without the use of stamps, molds or forms. It's painted with a combination of acrylic paints and acrylic antiquing stains (in shades of gold over brown, to get a burnished effect). The painting took a lot longer than I thought it would.
This is an experiment...I don't think this will be the final version of the Golden Wolf mask (I might try some design that's more like the Asian flame motif).
