The newest addition to the pantheon of Egyptian masks that I make.
This is a handmade leather mask based on the traditional depiction of Hathor, cow-headed goddess of ancient Egypt. Hathor was the ancient Egyptian goddess who personified the principles of love, beauty, music, dance, motherhood and joy. She was one of the most important and popular deities throughout the history of Ancient Egypt.
The mask is made entirely from one piece of 8oz leather, hand carved and shaped without molds or forms, then dyed & painted with colorfast acrylics in dark bronze, bright bronze and bright gold.
This is a signed, dated, numbered original. "Hathor" #2, available (until she is gone!) only at my online shop, here: [link]
