Part of the reason I had to design a new traditional Horus; I'd been commissioned to make an Industrial Horus as a companion piece to my other Industrial Egyptian Pantheon. So first I had to isolate the traditional elements and "mechanize" them. Led to two new designs entirely.
This is "Industrial Horus", falcon-headed god of the sun, war and protection.
It is made from one piece of 8oz leather, hand carved and shaped without molds or forms, then dyed and painted with colorfast acrylics in black and burnished gold. Then I augmented and decorated it with real brass and steel gears and clock parts.
This is signed, dated and numbered #2, and available in my Etsy shop (until he is sold!) here: [link]
