Industrial Owl version 1 by merimask Industrial Owl version 1 by merimask
New! This design is an elegant reworking of my original "Fantasy Owl" design. A new creation, combining clockwork and brass hardware elements with my stylized horned owl mask; "Industrial Owl".

It is made from one piece of 8oz leather, hand carved and shaped without molds or forms, then painted with colorfast acrylics in antiqued copper, gold, and black. The mask is sealed with a clear-coat acrylic, is water resistant, and safe to wear in any weather.

Then I augmented and decorated it with real brass clock parts, securely bolted and riveted to the piece.

So fun to have a little free time to work on new design ideas. :) This one is in my shop (probably not for long!) at this link here---> [link]

:) They're a very nice bunch of guys. It's so much fun to see how they use the masks.
