Industrial Sekhmet V1by *merimask

I really love this design; a blend of traditional Egyptian motifs with industrial design elements. This is a steampunk companion to my Industrial Anubis; "Industrial Sekhmet", lion goddess of war and conquest.

I have always loved the fact that ancient Egyptians chose to make their god of war a lioness (female)...must be because they knew there's nothing more determined than a pissed-off woman.

It is made from one piece of 8oz leather, hand carved & shaped without molds or forms, then dyed & painted with colorfast acrylics in bright gold and black. Then, I augmented and decorated it with real brass clock parts, securely bolted and cemented to the piece.
