New Anubis 2010 by merimask New Anubis 2010 by merimask
I just finished a couple new Anubis masks, and I thought I'd update my picture of that design. It's one of my most popular masks.

I wish I had something properly "Egyptian" looking to photograph the mask against...sandstone blocks or something like that. Guess I'll have to settle for my old concrete steps.

As with all my masks, this is made of hand carved, hand shaped leather. Wet-formed with no molds and heat-set, then painted with Liquitex acrylics. A lot of people ask about the sealer I use: it's Tandy's spray on Super Sheen...leaves a nice satin shine.

This mask is available in my Etsy shop: [link]

I'm astounded by the detail on this, especially on the shaping - I'd end up scrapping it before even getting halfway done lol xD

Great job <3
