Heartened by the reception my older pictures of the Ouroboros mask design received here in DA Land, I decided to go ahead and make a couple more. I just finished these this morning and photographed them between the raindrops. A photographer's white umbrella serves more than one purpose!
Created, as ever, from 8oz leather, these are my own design. Hand carved and hand shaped without a form, and painted with colorfast Liquitex acrylics.
Although these are fantasy serpents and not really snakes, I did base them on researched snake patterns. The brown one is a Southern Copperhead, the gray is an Indian Watersnake.
