I used a plain paper mache ball from a craft store, some doo dads from the scrapbook aisle, paint, hemp cord for the knotted netting, brass chains, card stock (also from scrapbook aisle), tiny watch gears, and glue. No pattern...just kind of fitted it together as I went.
