Just another little dragon-on-a-half-mask, but you know I love doing these guys. Purple isn't a color I use very often though. Between you and me, I can't stand the smell of the purple dye I use for a base coat...it stinks like sweet grain alcohol. Once it dries, the smell is gone, but I just don't like it while it's drying! Yuck.

As ever, this mask is hand carved from 8oz tooling leather, wet-formed without a mold, heat-set, and painted with a variety of dyes and Liquitex acrylics. Signed, dated, one-of-a-kind. Available from my Etsy shop only: [link]

It's a simple project to make a ventilated box that works in a window. No more smell.

It's pretty ... The thing I like most about it is the curve on the wing. I haven't noticed that on your other dragon masks.
