Here is something I haven't made in a long time...a cat mask! I changed my old design; completely re-worked just for Etsy. ^_^
The mask is hand carved from 8oz leather, each hair individually carved by hand with a 1/4 angle ceramic blade. Then the mask is shaped without a mold or form, & painted with a combination of Liquitex acrylics and acrylic stains in cream, brown and black.
I think this one is a seal point...though it's probably more like a chocolate point Siamese. More cats to come. I'm working on a calico and a black & white "tuxedo cat" right now.
Beautiful! I had a lynx point siemese once named Chloe. She was a survivor. At the age of 19 she fell about 20 feet onto a hardwood floor and only got a cut lip! She also survived being hit by a car as a kitten, and many other things.
Yea, that they do. Ours was a bit messed up in the brain, because she was hit by that car as a kitten. It made her so sweet though. She never claw or bit anyone, and let our pet mouse sleep on top of her. The poor thing was afraid of birds too X3. I miss her, but she had a good long life ^w^
It's simple, compared to some of your designs, but still elegant and has more of a sense of realism rather than flash. I likes it. The ears are especially well done.
Don't tell them, though, it's a secret.
