Small White Dragon Detailby *merimask

This is a detail of another of my small dragon half masks, showing the handcarved face of a little white dragon on one of my leather masks. I finished this guy yesterday, when I finished the green dragon.

Up cose you can really see the hand-cut details I like to add. I used a brand new ceramic 1/4 angle swivel blade, accented the cuts with a smooth beveler tool for a more sculpted effect & tooled scales with a very small mule-foot stamp. The entire dragon head is about an inch long, in reality.

Painted with Liquitex acrylics. After it's painted & dried well, I wash the whole carved area with a black acrylic antique stain & then wipe it off. A little bit of the black acrylic stays behind in the tooling, accenting it further.

I made it through, appears my explorer is spazzing out and the ads are driving it nuts.

As for the picture I'd like to see the whole mask, this looks very promising.
