Venetian Hound Maskby *merimask

I just finished a pair of new Venetian masks for an Etsy client. This is half of the pair; a Venetian Hound.

Like my other Venetian masks, this one simulates the look of the delicate plaster and gold leaf traditional Venetian mask, but in my own style. The mask is carved 8oz leather, painted with Liquitex acrylics and very sturdy and durable.

I love this! The shape of this mask is great - the fold in the ears and the sculpting give it some great personality. I think this is my favorite of your Venetian series.

Those ears really make the mask! I like how you left the nose as a bold white instead of adding scrollwork; imo it helps the white in the ears stand out even though they're shaded.
