Vintage Goggle Steampunk Masksby *merimask

So I was thinking of ways to augment and update my style, and here's my newest idea...well, new and old at the same time. I'm doing mixed media masks; incorporating vintage goggles with my steampunk mask designs.

These first few are an experiment really. I've figured out the best way to do the fittings and straps and attachments, and I played around with that aspect using my old FullSteam, HalfSteam and HalfGear designs.

Here's HalfSteam and Halfgear, each sporting one eye cup from a pair of vintage "Willson" driving goggles. The goggles were in pieces when I bought them, so I figured it was okay to re-purpose the pair and split it up for use on both masks.

The single eyecup gives these a sort of rakish feel; like techie monocles or even a sort of Victorian Borg (from Star Trek) effect.
