White and Black Persian Mask by merimask White and Black Persian Mask by merimask
This mask was commissioned on my Etsy site; a white, black, silver & pewter "Persian" leather mask.

It's called a Persian mask 'cause the pattern is based on my Persian rug. I usually do it in more traditional neutral tones like brown with gold & red (see elsewhere in my gallery for other examples) but this was a special request & I like the way it turned out.

Like all my work, this is hand-carved, hand shaped 8 oz leather, painted with Liquitex acrylic paints. I do take custom requests all the time at my Etsy shop: [link]

I saw this mask this weekend, Its just super awesome. Incredible. Seriously, I think everyone told him his mask was superb. I'll try to take a hold on a picture of him wearing it.

Awesome work. really.

I'm torn between this one and the black and white persian mask. I'm just going to have to favorite both! :D

This one is also lovely, but more bold in its contrast than the darker one. Would definitely put the focus on the wearer's eyes. :)
