Black Sekmeht Mask

I can't believe I failed to include this mask in my gallery. I went looking for it under my "Egyptian Gods" folder and it wasn't there...huh! My bad. I made it about a year ago, after a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. The black basalt carved sekmehts were impressive and I thought I ought to make a black version of this design (I usually do her in gold).

As ever, this is hand carved, hand shaped 8oz leather, painted with Liquitex acrylics in jet black and gold.
